Happenings at the Home - Summer 2020 Update
As the COVID-19 virus spread through the home, the staff and children continue to trust God and serve him.
COVID-19 Arrives at Bolivia and Andrea's Home
At the beginning of June, Andrea's Home saw it's the first case of the COVID-19 virus. From there the virus spread throughout the home and lingered like a dark cloud over the orphanage. Many of our children and staff suffered with the sickness and several staff were in critical condition. Through many generous donations, Love In Action was able to send funds for essential medicine and medical care. We are so thankful that the Lord has lifted this dark cloud and everyone at Andrea's Home who has the virus is either fully recovered or is on their way to making a full recovery.
Welcome to Andrea's Home
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we welcomed two new children to Andrea's Home! Meet sisters Maria (3yo) and Fernanda (6yo). We are so thankful for the blessing of being able to care for these children. The hearts of the staff at Andrea's Home are truly larger than their circumstances.

Growing Up
The children at Andrea's Home are growing up! The small children who came to the home are growing into young men and women who are getting ready to go out into the world. Recognizing this, Love In Action is working on a 6-step plan for aging out our children and making sure they are equipped to launch into the world on their own. This plan includes a transitional apartment as well as mentoring from our leadership in Bolivia. Please pray for these young adults and for wisdom for the staff/leadership as we transition into and develop this aging out process.
Welcome Home - Military Return
In July, Jhonly, Jimmy, and Juan Daniel came home from their required Bolivian Military service. In preparation for their homecoming, our directors recognized the need for these boys to have a separate space and begin the aging out process. This began fundraising for "Welcome Home Housing" to complete a section of the team dorm for the boys to live when they arrived home. Thank you to everyone who gave to complete this project. Continue to pray for Jhonly, Jimmy, and Juan Daniel as they adjust to being home. We are excited to see what direction the Lord takes these young men.
2020 Mission Trips
Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, all of the 2020 mission trips to Andrea's Home of Hope & Joy have been cancelled. We are hoping to continue sending short-term mission teams to Andrea's Home in 2021. We will keep updated on our webpage regarding trip dates for 2021. You can still be involved in the ministry at Andrea's home through giving toward the needs of the children through this pandemic.
